Coach Maegen Dillon joins the Cardiff Sockers after completing her collegiate soccer experience as captain of the Connecticut College Varsity Women’s Soccer team. During her time at Conn College, she was also honored with NESCAC All-Academic Team honors, as well as awards for art and leadership. Soccer has always been a big part of Maegne’s life, from community pick-up games to evenings on the field with her family throughout her childhood.

She has played in many international tournaments — her Marin FC team traveled to Denmark and Sweden in 2015 and Spain and Portugal in 2017, even winning of few of the tournaments! In high school, Maegen played Varsity soccer all four years and also ran track and cross country. She was recruited in her sophomore year of high school and played college soccer all four years in the NESCAC. Maegen was named captain her senior year , which was also the year the team won a bid to NCAA championship!

Coach Maegen shares that “The most important part of youth competitive soccer is developing confidence, creativity, and a love for the game” and is excited to work with our players to provide the same kind of positive experiences that she had growing up. She also works as an art advisory associate and brings experience working with children as a museum education intern and early education intern and teacher’s assistant.
